A More Romantic Honeymoon
A honeymoon doesn’t come with a guarantee of romance. It is the responsibility of you and your spouse to ensure that there is enough romance in your honeymoon. If your honeymoon begins and ends like a never ending romance, chances are bright that your married life would be a journey where you can cherish every moment…
The secrets of ensuring a wonderful honeymoon are simple. But often we make our lives burdensome by making simple things complicated. Don’t make that common mistake in your honeymoon, which is not only the beginning of your married life, but also is a landmark period that has the potential to set the tone for the rest of your married life with your spouse. So take this period seriously, and have some serious fun in the process.
It is always an advantage if you and your spouse have selected an out-of-the-world destination like Goa, Mauritius, Maldives, Hawaii, Malaysia, etc. for your honeymoon sojourn, but if your budget doesn’t allow that, don’t despair. A place can be romantic only if the hearts are…So you can also have a wonderfully romantic honeymoon while visiting a so called obscure or run-of-the-mill destination if you truly care for and believe in each other. And it would really help to kindle the romance more, if you and your spouse care to follow a few simple steps.
Take some CDs of romantic songs and films with you, and make it a point to enjoy them together, preferably entwined in each other’s embrace. If it is winter, try to get inside a warm quilt while savouring the music or the movie. The soft warmth of the quilt would complement the warmth in your still evolving relationship. You can also dance with the music, and whisper sweet nothings into each other, though no one is around. While watching a romantic movie, try to enact the scenes which are favourite of both you and your spouse. They may make both of you to laugh or cry, and the bonds between you would be cemented further.
Besides having the obvious candlelight dinners, also make it a point to do those things which are favourite of your spouse. For example, if your first choice is heritage, and if your spouse prefers adventure, what should you do? Simple, go for that scuba diving session in the morning, and you can be sure that your spouse would give you a surprise kiss in the sunset, in the backdrop of that ancient fort which lured you for ages together.
And don’t forget the element of surprise, which always accentuates the flow of a floodgate of emotions, including romance. You can of course surprise her by presenting that sparkling diamond, which she was silently eyeing from the windowpane of the exclusive jewellery shop, but you can also make her leap with joy by presenting that elusive wildflower, while on your expedition through the hilly track. Yes, it is about time you learn in your honeymoon that best things in life are free…and priceless.
The rules of life and honeymoon are not much different, and that is what makes honeymoon interesting, and romantic enough to explore with all your passion…
