Packing Tips for a Honeymoon
Honeymoon is serious fun, and packing for honeymoon is a serious business. Of course, you want to look your best in the honeymoon, but don’t pile too many clothes in your suitcases, which may make the process of carrying your luggage a bothersome business. Travel light, and you would enjoy your honeymoon more. The outfits should have a healthy mix of formal, semi-formal and casual wear, as you may need all these types in ample measure in your honeymoon.
If you and your partner are fond of workouts, take some tracksuits, shorts, tee shirts, sweat shirts, etc. along with you, and place them in the bottom of the suitcase. The more fragile clothing should occupy the top layers. And of course, sexy lingerie and sleep wears should take a significant portion of your respective suitcases. Pack shoes or sandals in the bottom, and fill them up with small items, which would save necessary space.
Besides carrying your bathing suits, it is advisable to carry your own swimsuits too, especially if your resort or hotel has a swimming pool, and if you or your partner, or both for the matter, love a lap of the swimming pool after the breakfast. It is preferable to keep the lotions, cosmetics, sunglasses, digital cameras, shaving cream, after shave, deodorants, fragrances, etc. in a separate plastic bag, which should always be carried on the shoulder. This would prevent the possibility of their breaking during any accidental manhandling by the coolie or the customs guy.
Scented candles, a small pot of caviar, a bottle of champagne, and some chocolates and candy bars in your sachet can give more togetherness to your honeymoon affair. And if it is winter, and if you are heading for a hill station or to other cool climes, don’t forget to take some woolens.
Also don’t forget to take some basic medicines and a small first aid kit along with you, which may help you in case of some untoward incidents. It is really irritating to waste two precious days of your honeymoon sneezing and coughing, or lying in the bed with an upset stomach, and thus those unromantic but necessary things are needed to ensure the safety of a romantic honeymoon.
Raincoats and umbrellas can be essential packing items in case you are planning your honeymoon during a rainy season, or if the destination has a penchant for erratic and untimely showers. Moreover, one of your suitcases should have a great deal of empty space, which could be used for your shopping sprees during your honeymoon vacation. And of course, it doesn’t deserve a mention that you need to carry your debit and credit cards too, for honeymoon is the time to splurge. But do carry them with utmost safety.
